David Kailin graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in 1978. He completed a Master of Public Health degree at the University of Washington in 1992, and a Ph.D. in Public Health at Oregon State University in 2002. He has taught graduate level courses in health policy, research methods, and systems thinking.
Dr. Kailin has practiced acupuncture in hospital, college health, group practice, and solo settings. He holds acupuncture licenses in Washington (#1) and Oregon (#49). The Acupuncture Association of Washington awarded him Acupuncturist of the Year in 1991. He was the first president of the Massachusetts Acupuncture Society, and is a past president of the Acupuncture Association of Washington (now known as WAOMA).
Dr. Kailin provided consulting services for clinical quality improvement, for integrative medicine programs, and for regulatory issues. His clients included clinics, hospitals, colleges, and government agencies. He resides in Corvallis, Oregon, USA.
